Five Games that look better than Uncharted 2

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was released almost two years back and it set the new benchmark for graphics in games. It raised the bar in terms of what to expect (visually) from the current gen games. And to be honest, no game has since dared touching those high standards until very recently.

Let us share a list of games what we feel look better than Uncharted 2. Remember this is just a matter of opinion and you might not have to agree with it. Let’s start off the list with…

Crysis 2

 

Crysis 2 is the best-looking console/PC game to date. Visuals are absolutely stunning, never has New York City been this well-realized in a videogame. Crysis 2′s biggest strength is its attention to details, from shattered glass to translucent water or flickering flames, the game is a visual masterpiece. Games like Crysis 2 are important because they inspire hardcore gamers to buy the biggest, baddest and the most expensive computers they can get their hands on.

Bioshock Infinite

 Bioshock Infinte received an ungodly amount of praise at E3 winning numerous awards from various publications. The game must be seen to be believed. Infinite’s art style, bit cartoonish, is one of the things that could malign the title in the public eye in this age of hyper-realistic war shooters. Sure, it could have been made photo-realistic but as soon as we see the emotion in characters’ eyes throughout their interactions, it’s immediately evident that this is the right art style for Infinite and this game couldn’t have been illustrated in any other way.

RAGE

 Rage is the latest first-person shooter game from the legendary, id Software. And the game isn’t a disappointment. Carmack’s id Tech 5 engine known as “MegaTextures,” has been built for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC from scratch. Using this latest engine, the game looks phenomenal, it brings the characters to life in a way never seen before. The whole environment, from beautiful graphics to smart enemies and the Road Warrior style post-apocalyptic world is all amazingly done.

Battlefield 3

 Probably the most hyped game of the year, Battlefield 3, wants to settle score with all the FPS games in general, and Modern Warfare 3 in particular. We’ve so far seen amazing character animations, particle effects and Battlefield’s hallmark destructibility via various gameplay trailers that have been shown to us. And we must say the game looks incredibly realistic. BF 3 is all set to dethrone MW 3 from its long held crown as the best war shooter in the market, but will it become the new King of graphics as well? All the questions will get answered this October.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

 So what is this one game brave enough to even try raising the bar set by Uncharted 2: Among Thieves? Well the answer is not as complex as you might think, it’s of course the sequel to the 2009′s blockbuster game itself, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. It’s hands down the most anticipated PS3 exclusive of the year. Nathan Drake’s journey will put you through epic new challenges and take you to stunning locations around the world, from a derelict chateau in France, to the merciless Arabian Desert. It’ll be an interactive cinematic experience that will blur the lines between games and movies, which has always been the signature of Uncharted series. And this time we are pretty damn sure that Uncharted 3 will push the boundaries and raise the standards for all the upcoming games, all over again.
